Blizzard 2009

So we went to South Dakota to visit our families, and when we landed it was snowing and the weather was not so good, then we got word that wed we were going to get some more. Off to Bills parents house to spend our first few days and all we heard on the news was how SD was going to get the worst blizzard to hit since 1968 and if you wanted to be some where by Christmas to leave now, if you could get to your destination but the next afternoon, if not stay put. Well on wed, it wasn't that bad a little snow, but then on the 24th we should have left to go to my parents as it wasn't that bad the 25th this is what it looked like. Visibility was less then 1/4 mile. Here are pictures I took of our Christmas Blizzard. We left for my parents house Saturday afternoon around 4 and it took us 3 hours to get there, normaly it is a about 1 1/2. Conditions were not the best but we made it. Wouldn't have been so bad but we were flying out Monday night. The barn, and check out the drift in fron of me.
Taken through the kitchen window. I couldn't open the door very far.

Back yard see it snowing.

Back yard again.
Ok this is not of the Blizzard, but my mother-in-law is a great little artist and she painted this for my father-in-law it is of their barn.

Merry Christmas

I know Christmas is still a few days away, but we are off to the frozen tundra of our home state, South Dakota for Christmas. This should be fun and cold, I see that there is suppose to be snow the first few days that we are there and cold so lets see how Abi likes it. When we get home I will post pictures from our time there.

I hope and wish for you and your families to have a very very MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Just a post

Well I thought we would be going to a birthday party for Isabel, but we have been fighting some infections at our house the past couple of weeks, started with Bill, then Abi now I seem to have something. Abi still is fighting but she seems better today, but with us leaving in 2 days I figured we need to stay home. Here are some random pictures I wanted to share.

In this one she is giving her baby doll kisses. Going to the store dressed in a coat she got for her birthday.

Bill thought this was funny, I on the other hand didn't think so, I was sitting in the hallway with her dirty cloths to wash separating them, normally I do it in her room but she would be going down for a nap and I didn't want to disturb her. Well Abi decided to be a big help with the cloths she decided to separate what I already done.

This one I put her down for a nap after a bath and this is what she looked like when she woke up.

Santa

Today we ventured out to see Santa, if you click on it you can see how happy she is to be there. Needless to say she did not like him, started to cry and jumped out of his arms into mine.
Not much going on Bill had a bad cold last week with a cough and sore throat and now Abi has it. Started with a fever the first couple of days, that is gone but man is her throat ever sore. Now I know she can't talk and tell me but if you heard her talk right now you could tell it was sore, plus very crabby Abi. We leave for our parents home on Monday so we will be experiencing the cold bbbbbbbbrrrrrrr from what I have been told. I won't be posting any more pictures. Wait I do have a birthday party on Saturday so there will be post from that I hope (if I have time) Other then that, not much going on.

Crazy Dancer

Setting: I was in the kitchen cooking supper and Abigail was in her playroom (old family room) playing with her toys. I noticed that it was quiet so I went to look to see what she was doing. In the living room I had the tv turned to Kids Place live ( music station for kids) and in front of the tv I found her dancing to Ghostbusters, as soon as she saw me she stooped to the video is very short but too cute. Enjoy I know I did.

Crazy Dance

Setting: I was in the kitchen making supper and Abigail was in her play area playing (the old family room, connected to the kitchen) I turn around because it was to quiet and she was no longer there, so I went to see where she had gone. In the living room I had the Kids Place Live (music and concerts for kids) was on and there sat Abi going to town. I wanted to get the video camera but that would have distracted her and I only had the digital camera so the video is not that great and plus the second she saw me she stoped. Oh and the music is the song I think them song from Ghostbusters (Who ya gonna call GHOSTBUSTERS). Enjoy I know I did.
